Sister Sister

Kelee came over to hang out with me this weekend while Dan was in Delta playing softball. We had a great time, as always. Friday night we went and saw "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past".
Dinner at KFC

Saturday we went shopping while Dan napped, then took Kelee out to teach her how to play tennis. It was her first time, and she was pretty good! It didn't take her long at all to get a forehand down; next time we play we will focus more on her backhand and teach her to serve. Kelee, you are so much fun! Thanks for hanging out with your boring ol' sis, and for doing my dishes :)

Here comes the big forehand winner

Oops :)

Keep your eyes on the ball

Killer 110 mph serve :)

First time for everything

So...I was bound to give in sometime or another. Especially with Daniel as my husband, and almost two years to the date after our marriage it did. He dragged me, practically kicking and screaming, all the way down to Gladstan. I am not sure why I had such an anti golf attitude, maybe because of how BORING it is to watch on tv, or how EXPENSIVE of a hobby it can be, or how I hated the idea of WALKING a few miles with a heavy set of clubs tied to my side....BUT all my complaining was to no avail...Dan had forced my hand, and I finally gave in.

In all actuality my first time golfing was not that bad, it was really pretty fun. I never made par, but I did bogie once. We only played nine holes, and to make my first time more enjoyable we even got a cart! I borrowed clubs from my cousin Misty, and they made things a lot easier because they were actually my size! Putting my pride aside (seriously, Dan is going to die when he reads this...I gave him a lot of crap about him golfing so much) I have decided golf is something I want to learn and get better at...so if any of you ladies golf hit me up!

Girls night

Saturday night I left my hubby behind (in pain, soaking in the bath tub, mind you...cruel I know) to go get some yummy food and visit with the girls in the family. Matt and Adam were at father's and sons, so Misty/Mandy decided it would be a good time for a gno. We met up at Wingers and ate, then got desert at Cold Stone. It was a fun night full of laughter, mostly at Kelee's expence ( and I quote) "You know what's weird is I only get claustrophobic in small spaces." -Kelee Malan I am pretty sure I didn't go through that bad of a ditzy stage in my life lol... jk Kel, I love you and I always end up getting a pretty good ab workout when you're around :)

Memorial Day

Memorial Day was a lot of fun for us! We started off the day by going up to Dan's grandparents house for his traditional memorial day breakfast, which btw was delisiouso! Thanks gpa! After we ate we visited with the cousins and played scum, I was scum or butt maggot mostly every hand, but ended up being the king the very last hand! Dan and I then headed down to Payson and hit the driving range with his family....little did I know I was actually pretty good ( or so I like to tell myself). We spent the rest of the afternoon playing volleyball, which can get pretty heated when you throw Dan's highly competative family in the mix :) but we all had a lot of fun! I got some sun, which I am excited about! A freakin good BBQ ended the night for us... ribs and potatoe salad, yum. Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday as well!

Another puppy post :)

I am pretty sure no one wants to read another post about us playing at the park with Yuki, and it's nothing new and exciting for us either (we do it on almost a daily basis) BUT it's not every day that I get some sweet pics while we are there, so, unfortunately, for my few select readers, you do get to see some more pics of my cute puppy at the park :) Afterall, this is really only for me and my posterity to look back on one day and enjoy, right?? Oh, and last night we went and saw Angels and Demons... I have read the book, and even though the movie told things a bit different that they were written in the book, it was still exciting and overall a good show. I recommend it to you all.

It's That Time Again

Softball season has started again. Dan is playing on two teams, Monday nights with Brick Sports, and Wednesday nights with On Track. He is really excited! Both teams will be championship contenders :) He bought himself a new bat...and if you ask me is a little obsessed with the thing...seriously, after every game he brings it home and cleans it, then just sits there cuddling with it for a minute. ( He thought I hadn't noticed). But at least he is taken care of such an expensive commodity. If you ask me, he is the hottest player, on both teams, and looks mighty fine in those basketball shorts, and long baseball socks; although they didn't offer much protection to Dan's leg last week. It seems like almost everybody who does/has ever lived in Payson somehow or another ends up down at the ballfield, so hopefully we will run in to some of you this summer! All in all, this softball season looks to be promising and filled with action!

If you like Pina Coladas...

Tonight was our little family night...we had a Hawaiian Luau...ghetto style. No, there was no roasting pit in the back yard with a pig churning over the open flames, but we managed to make freaking good Hawaiian haystacks and Pina Coladas. Tacy and Benny came over to party with us and watch the Jazz game. We got some small tiki lamps thinking they would be a fun replacement for "candlelight", instead they almost torched our house down, and sent the tenants running with a loud fire alarm. So we decided it was probably not the best idea to light them during dinner. It was a fun night with friends! The table, Walmart has such fun "tiki" decore.

Benny and Tacy...still stuck in that "cutesy, silly" dating phase :)

Cheers!

Easter Weekend

Dan and I had a fun Easter weekend. Saturday morning Dan played in a softball tournament, which he ended up not being able to finish due to the rain....can't say I was too upset about that :) Not that it wasn't fun watching him, but it was WET. That night we had a surprise birthday party for my sister Kelee. She is now 16! I am five years older, and about three inches shorter...so sad. Easter day was a nice relaxing day. The Easter bunny brought us a few treats, and then we went to visit and eat dinner with Dan's grandparents and his Aunt Debbie and family. Then we spent the afternoon playing hand and foot... which almost started WWIII then quickly had every one laughing so hard (at how silly Gpa Jensen was being with the "rules"). I'm sure someone peed their pants *cough*. Wasn't me. Anyways, Happy Easter everyone.

Kelee walking in to us yelling "Surprise!"

Easter baskets and gifts, Dan got a new phone, and I got a purse.

Yummy, yummy, yummy!

Yummy weather, yummy food, who could ask for more?! Dan had to pay some softball dues to a friend down in Spanish Fork, so we decided to get some KFC and have a picnic at Canyon View Park while we were down there. We played catch, and hit a few balls. We also played fetch with Yuki. I LOVED this sunny day!

Co-ed Volleyball

Dan and I are playing with the family on a co-ed volleyball team. The players are : Fronk, Sammy, DJ, Amy, Casey Gordon, Marie (Sammy's mom), Daniel, and me. Most of our team has not played volleyball on an actual team before, so it is a learning experience, but we are having fun! Here are some pictures of the action!

Summertime....and the livin's easy...

Ok, ok, so it isn't summertime quite yet, but it was nice enough for flip flops and shorts, close enough in my book! We took advantage of the sunny day by going to the park with Yuki. She had a blast running around and playing fetch. She even had the guts to run over and start playing with another huge dog. It was nice to sit out in the sun!

She was trying to catch the grass that I was throwing up in the air

Let's hope the sunny weather is here to stay!

Horrible, rotten, no good, very bad...week

This week was a busy one...

We started co-ed volleyball and during our first games of the season Matt tore the soft tissue in his ankle...so he will be out for a while. We also found out Dan has kidney stones :( The doc gave him some medicine to help with the pain and infection. I just hope he can pass them on his own, and quickly! I

On a happier note, tonight was Fronk and Sammy's wedding and reception, they both looked very gorgeous and happy! When we got home, Yuki was so excited to see us that she peed all over the floor then somehow rolled in it, so, I decided to give her a much needed bath. She usually likes taking baths and will just lick the shampoo off of herself the entire time...that is until you get her head wet. She goes NUTS! This time she managed to escape me and jumped from the bath tub (soaking, sopping, WET) and run all over the house, drenching everything in her path, before I could catch her...

Us at the reception

Kelee and me

Ha, this cracks me up...just ignore my gia-normous arms!

This is the look of defeat and submission...she wasn't too happy when we caught her and made her get back in the tub!

The haircut I have wanted since jr high....

...has finally been fulfilled! I have seriously wanted my hair cut in an A-line since I can remember, I just never dared because I wasn't sure if I could pull it off (I know...silly, right :) But I LOVE it! By far my favorite cut yet...the pictures don't do it justice.

Thanks Alisa, your the bomb!

Off Constantly

Dan played in the March Madness tourny down is St George this weekend. He had a lot of fun, and played really well...I guess he had five homeruns...or more, he honestly cannot remember! I sure missed him though so I am glad he came home safely!

When Dan got home he said, "I am kinda liking all this extra upper body weight...It's not good for basketball or tennis, but it's sure working for me in softball!"

Ha ha this was a comment left on one of Dan's pics on Facebook "was this the first homerun or the second or the third or the fourth, i cant even remember how many that kid had, next time dan goes there going to make him supply his own softballs cause he kept losing their's."

I'm so excited...

"Close your eyes, feel the sand beneath your toes, and the ocean tide wash over your feet..." can you feel it? Are you in Hawaii yet? Ha ha, that's what I felt like again when I found the sd card with our honeymoon pictures on it! It disappeared right after we got home from Hawaii, I was SO bummed! BUT last night I decided to get on the ball and organize our "junk drawer" and there it was! It was so fun to look through them and remember all the fun we had! I am going to post a few so I can remember in case I loose it again!

I was a natural :)
Dan wasn't too shabby either

At the Waikiki zoo
Dinner at the Poly Cultural Center, because we were there on our honeymoon we got to get up and dance in front of everyone

Our sweet tats

In front of the Waikiki temple
Pearl Harbor
At the ocean...I wish we would have gotten better pictures here, but we spent most our energy trying to keep me alive :)

I am not sure where this is, I think it was at a army museum by Pearl Harbor
Dan insisting on taking a picture of me, and me complaining about how freakin hot it was
Waiting for the fire show to start
Ooo la la :)

Game night

Last night was our turn to host game night, we had Tyson and Courtney, Casey and Kristi, and Ben and Brooke over. We played Catch Phrase, and by the end of the night we were all so tired that we were giving clues like, "its a blank, blank , and blank." The one that will live in infammy, though, goes to Daniel. Here was the clue he gave: "It's the opposite of cook your tomorrow." Hmm... Any guesses? "Make my day" was the actual phrase... ha ha that one will always give everyone a good laugh! There were so many other funny moments we laughed at, but I can't remember them all now. My camera died at the beginning of the night so I didn't get any good pictures of the action :( I did get a cute one of Casey and Kristi though.

Well, at least a cute one of Kristi :)
