Two Whole Years!

That's right folks, we have now made it past year #2 in our eternity together. I (may be speaking for myself here:) am so grateful for Daniel, and love him so much! To celebrate we took a little trip down to St George and Mesquite. It was a great break and we had a lot of fun, but it was HOT! 110 degrees most of the time, so we spent a lot of time at the pool. We had originally planned to stay in St George, but the hotels were a lot more expensive, so we stayed at the Virgin River hotel the first night, and the CasaBlanca the second night. The pool at CasaBlanca was pretty sweet. We ate at Chilies in St George on the night of our actually anniversary, then went to the Tuacahn and saw "Footloose", well, we saw most of it. The show was canceled early due to "inclement weather" but we will get a gift certificate to go back down and see another show! They have some sweet shows coming up like Thriller, and Tarzan. But it sure as heck won't be until at least September *did I mention it was hot?*

We played a little blackjack, and Dan *cough* lost all our money. I kept loaning him some cash but he couldn't win a hand. Let this be a lesson unto all of you. Gambling is bad, and you WILL lose your money eventually, even if you are ahead for awhile. It's okay though, cause the money we used we had pretty much set aside for losing. In all it was a great trip, and we can't wait until we can get back down there to see the next show at the Tuacahn.

Our Busy Weekend

This weekend has been one of the funnest weekends I have had in a long time! Let me break it down for ya'll:

Friday: after work we headed down to Payson Hospital to see our new cousin, Melia Dawn Rindlisbacher. She is adorable!!! With lots of dark curls, and a perfect little nose! I forget how tiny and precious they are. Dan couldn't even resist holding her :) He will be the best daddy someday!

Saturday: after sleeping in, we spent the afternoon at the Spanish Fork Resevoir. Bridgette and her hubby Brent met us down there. It was a lot of fun! Dan fished a little bit, and I got to lay out and read my book. We spent a lot of time in the water...mostly because it was so hot, but also (as you may know if you have been to the res yourself recently) because it took us forever to get out of the water...the concrete bank was extremely mossy and it was so steep that climbing out was almost impossible. If we didn't have our huge floaty to help us, I would probably still be there! We had a lot of fun, but paid the price with a hefty sunburn! Later that night, we had a game night with friends. Casey works for a multi billionar (in my opinion) named Dee; she has her own gia-normous ranch up Hobble Creek Canyon. It is exquiste. If I were a horse, I would be Dee's horse...the stables have heated floors, and they also release a fly killing spray. Casey gave us a little demo of what he spends his time doing...working and training the horses. After the grand tour, we played Pictionary Man, and Catch Phrase. We sure love our friends and are glad for the frequent game nights!

After about twenty minutes of trying to climb out of the lake with no sucess, Brent had the novel idea of using rocks to help him get out. It was hilarious! I almost peed my pants, BUT it worked. This is not posed, it was the actual face he was making.

*Let me tell you that being surrounded by such cute babies all weekend doesn't help my baby hungry-ness :)!

Sunday: got up on time for Sacrament, for once! We taught our primary class about being a missionary...I get a hoot out of some of the things they say; for example, during sharing time the teacher asked if anyone had a good memory and could remember what they talked about last week. A sunbeam raised his hand and said, "I have a great memory, that is all I wanted to say." It was hilarious. Kids crack me up. After church we took a two hour nap...what more can I ask for from a weekend?

Lagoon

"It's what fun is!"

Yesterday Dan and I had the chance to go to lagoon with Dan's family. It was SO SO much fun! We got there about one and spent the afternoon riding all the rides, and playing a few of the booths. I didn't want to take the chance of my camera getting lost/stolen/broken, so there are no pictures :( but we had a great time. Roller coasters are probably my favorite thing ever. My favorite rides have got to be the Wicked ride, and both Rockets. Cheyenne was barely tall enought to ride all the rides, and she was fearless! She rode the Wicked three times! Cheyenne had never been on the Mighty Mouse because no one else likes to ride it, I don't mind it, so I told her I would ride on it with her. While we were waiting in line, Dan and Jake decided to try a ride of their own... The "Rock- O- Plane" It wasn't the brightest idea my husband has ever had...it's the kind of ride where you sit cruched together in a small cage while you spin around a million times and get so dizzy you almost barf...well, in the midst of all the spinning my phone, which was in Dan's pocket, got cracked. I really can't say I'm too upset; I have had that same phone since I was 17... that has got to be a world record for longest kept cell phone. I also got quite a bit of sun, which is always a good thing! Dan threw a softball 71 mph and won a baseball helmet. There is no way to go wrong when you spend an afternoon at Lagoon.

Stadium of Fire

This year Dan's dad got a bunch of free tickets from Novell to the "Stadium of Fire" so we were able to go. It was a lot of fun listening to SheDaisy, and the Jonas bros. . . I actually knew more songs from both bands than I thought. Dan's sisters, Whitney and Chey, were singing at the top of their lungs to all the Jonas' songs...as was the rest of the audience under the age of 15. It was pretty funny! We had the cutest little girls behind us who kept asking their mom, about every five seconds, "Is it time for Jonas yet??" "When is it going to be Jonas' turn??" For the first time ever I actually felt like I was going to win big...a Harley Davidson! They announced the direction: ours! They announced the section (out of all the hundreds of others): ours! They announced the row: not ours :( but the winner was only a few rows down from us! We were so close, yet so far... They also burnt the big Stadium flag because it was no longer in great condition, it was a very cool thing to witness. The fireworks were of course amazing! And even though it took us about an hour to get home, the Stadium of "Fun" (as Glenn Beck called it) was well worth it!

Dan was a little skeptical before the show...but once Jonas started singing, even he was singing along :)
