Champs

The title pretty much sums up this post.

I felt pretty awesome. I hit better in this game that I had all season. Plus I have never won a tournament of any kind before!

My team

Both mine and Dan's softball teams owned the tournament this year. Dan's team ended up playing the tournament against the only team that had beat them both times when they played each other in the regular season, so it was even more amazing when they smoked them (15 runned them) in the tournament.

Dan plays on another team and that tourney is Monday, so here's to hoping he gets two jackets lol.

Number 1

What is it with guys and grabbing each other??

Twins.

When the hubby's away....

...the wife plays!

Dan is playing in an all-nighter softball tournament in Delta. I had planned on laying low, cleaning the house, maybe eating a whole package of Oreos...er...broccoli... and watching a Lifetime Original Movie, but my friend Hailey called and asked if I wanted to play on her co-ed softball team, so I played a little softball of my own.

After our games Danica, Hailey, and I decided to do a little shopping. We went to the mall and looked at sunglasses for about 30 minutes... none of us decided to get some in the end. We ate some dinner, then went to Kohls where I do "expect great things." Oh Kohls. I could close my eyes and fill my arms with the first things they made contact with, and love it all. I had $10 in Kohls cash, and a coupon for 15% off my entire purchase...so of course I had to use them. I got some really cute shirts and a cute pair of jean capris. I called Dan on my way home and told him "I had found a few things I liked at Kohls" He then asked, "how much did you spend?" Before I could answer that question I had to tell him how much I had saved with my coupons and Kohls cash. He guessed I had spent more than I actually did though, so I guess I still have some money to spend :) JK.

When I got home I managed to take a bath, actually shave my entire leg (even above the knee), whiten my teeth, do the dishes, paint my finger nails, and write this post. This is what I call a productive evening.

Tomorrow morning I am going to a Zumba party from 11-2 which I am so excited for! I sure miss Daniel, but it's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't have a cute husband to distract you!

At a master's zumba class...us girls and our amazing teacher (in the pink). I just hate when I have a post without a picture, so this will do!

Swagger

This truly is the summer of softball for us! Dan plays in Payson on Mondays and Wednesdays with some friends. They call themselves "Swagger". It's been so much fun to watch because they are one of the best teams in both leagues, they like to have fun, and Dan is playing great!

We also play together on a co-ed team here in Orem with some friends. It has been a lot of fun playing on a team that is so skilled and likes to have fun! Dan and I have spent a lot of time practicing so I can improve and have more confidence, and it has really been working! I actually feel comfortable out of the field! I still have a long ways to go, but I am glad I have the chance to play with my hubby :) The weather has been pretty wacko every week, but none-the-less the softball games go on!

Softball

Last weekend Dan played in the March Madness Softball tournament in St George; he was originally going to ride down with the boys, and have a boys weekend, but I decided last minute to go with him. His parents and siblings also came down to watch him, so we decided to stay the whole weekend, and make a little vacation out of it. His team did pretty good considering it was their first game of the season. They started off a little rusty, but had a lot of fun! The team looks to be pretty promising, and I'm hoping they will play in a few more tourney's down there so I have an excuse to get out of this cold weather!! A few of the other guy's families came down to watch as well, so we had the best fans, and we made quite a bit of noise for the team! Dan played really well! He was able to use the bat I got him for Christmas for the first time; he had an in the park homer, and a few amazing catches. I forgot my camera :( boo! But his sister Whitney came to my rescue and took some cool pictures (that I haven't got from her yet).

We decided to take Yuki down with us this time. She was really good on the ride there and back. Our first night at the hotel she kept growling every time she heard anyone in the hall ways, and our room was right next to the entrance, so it was pretty noisy, but she finally went to sleep. It definitely was not as relaxing as when it's just Dan and I on vacation because we had to bring her everywhere with us! In between the softball games we swam in the pool, went rollerblading on a really neat trail, and had a yummy dinner at Texas Roadhouse!

By definition, a Jensen family vacation wouldn't be a vacation with out some sort of accident.(no matter the means of transportation...kayak, boat, expedition, and now add to the list:ford focus) This time it happened to be a flat tire. Dan and I had already made it to Beaver when we got the call. They didn't have a spare tire on them, so we drove back to Kolob Canyon thinking that our spare would work just fine...not so! They have a ford and we have a nissan...and our spare was not the right size. Our wrench was also too big for their lug nuts, but the park ranger at the visitor's center luckily had a universal wrench. They finally got the tire off and were able to run to the Cedar City Wal-mart and replace the tire. Luckily, Dan's family were able to make it to the visitor's center without the tire blowing, and we were not stranded on the side of the freeway waiting for Dan and his dad to return with a new tire! So ... four hours later we were on our way home again!!!

P.S. Yay for finally figuring out how to change font sizes and colors!!

Off Constantly

Dan played in the March Madness tourny down is St George this weekend. He had a lot of fun, and played really well...I guess he had five homeruns...or more, he honestly cannot remember! I sure missed him though so I am glad he came home safely!

When Dan got home he said, "I am kinda liking all this extra upper body weight...It's not good for basketball or tennis, but it's sure working for me in softball!"

Ha ha this was a comment left on one of Dan's pics on Facebook "was this the first homerun or the second or the third or the fourth, i cant even remember how many that kid had, next time dan goes there going to make him supply his own softballs cause he kept losing their's."
