I'm so excited...

"Close your eyes, feel the sand beneath your toes, and the ocean tide wash over your feet..." can you feel it? Are you in Hawaii yet? Ha ha, that's what I felt like again when I found the sd card with our honeymoon pictures on it! It disappeared right after we got home from Hawaii, I was SO bummed! BUT last night I decided to get on the ball and organize our "junk drawer" and there it was! It was so fun to look through them and remember all the fun we had! I am going to post a few so I can remember in case I loose it again!

I was a natural :)
Dan wasn't too shabby either

Game night

Last night was our turn to host game night, we had Tyson and Courtney, Casey and Kristi, and Ben and Brooke over. We played Catch Phrase, and by the end of the night we were all so tired that we were giving clues like, "its a blank, blank , and blank." The one that will live in infammy, though, goes to Daniel. Here was the clue he gave: "It's the opposite of cook your tomorrow." Hmm... Any guesses? "Make my day" was the actual phrase... ha ha that one will always give everyone a good laugh! There were so many other funny moments we laughed at, but I can't remember them all now. My camera died at the beginning of the night so I didn't get any good pictures of the action :( I did get a cute one of Casey and Kristi though.

Well, at least a cute one of Kristi :)

Pillow mania

I decided my living room was so blah...and it needed some color...I went looking for some pillows for the couches, and everything was so expensive! I decided to make my own...I paid $9 for the fabric, and $5 for the batting...i was able to make three pillows for $14! I love them, and plan on making three more red and two more brown for our other couch. I didn't make the brown ones, shown, but will be making the other two just like them!

Dinner with the gals

So...in honor of Amanda's fast approaching wedding, us girls went to Olive Garden. Prob not the best idea on a Friday night (we waited for about an hour to get seated), but it gave us more time to chat and catch up....Amanda, Jaci, and I were so close in high school (kareoke, lifetime original movies, shopping, oh the memories!) but now we are all married and just living different lives. It's hard to find time to get away from the hubby's but once ya do it's so worth it! We had a blast laughing and reminiscing about the good ol' days. I had forgotten just how funny Mcall and Jaci can be together! The food was delicious, but that's no surprise. Congrats Amanda, marriage is the best!

The long wait

Me, Jaci
Amanda, Mcall, Jaci, me

I'm a Lambog... blah blah blah

I'm a Lamborghini Murcielago!

My aunt had this on her blog so I thought I would see which car I was....this might be more accurate if I actually had the car :)

Love is in the Air. . .

Our Valentine's day was so much fun! It was the best one yet. We started off the day by going out to breakfast at Denny's, yum! Then we went last-minute gift shopping, lounged around, and just enjoyed our day together. Later that night, we went to The Dessert Star Theater to see "Home School Musical"; we were on the very front row, close enough that at times I felt I was a part of the show, and wanted to belt out the songs right along with them "you gotta get ya get ya get ya head in the game" luckily, for all those in attendance, I refrained. (Misty, now that I have seen it, we definitely need to talk and laugh about it together!) Even Dan enjoyed it...and he was very skeptical! Our present to each other is a gym pass at Orem Rec to get back into shape, but he had to go above and beyond, and got me an MP3 player so I can jam while working out! Let's just say I returned the gift later that night :)
Flowers, of course! Three for our three valentines we have spent together.

Dan, I love you. You are such a blessing in my life, and I can't even imagine not having you there. You make me so happy, and I appreciate all you do for me. Thanks for a great day hun!

Weekend Fun

This past weekend was sure booked, but it was a lot of fun! Friday night I went out to dinner with my buddy Kenya, she is leaving on a miss soon, and so we had a gno to talk and celebrate her leaving! I am really proud of Kenya for all she has overcame and she will be a great missionary...assuming a handsome young man doesn't sweep her off her feet in the next two weeks. We had some great talks, and boy did we have quite a bit to catch up on! My seafood alfredo from The Olive Garden was delicious, as always.

Saturday Morning I went to Amanda Page's bridal shower. She finally jumped on the marriage band wagon like the rest of us! She played the game where you answer questions about your fiance and if you get them wrong you have to stick a marshmallow (or sometimes a piece of gum) in your mouth...she did pretty good, but still got stuck with quite a mouthful! It was fun to see and visit with her and her family though because we don't really any more.

Who else looks this good with a mouthful of jumbo marshmallows?!

Saturday night we had a surprise birthday party for my sisters Jessie and Alisa, they were genuinly surprised, and we all had a lot of fun. Sunday...not quite as much fun. I was sick for the most part of the day, but am feeling much better today, and very much looking forward to this weekend as well!

Tennis, our favorite past-time

So...like owner like pet. Dan and I spent our afternoon playing tennis, it was a great chance for me to let out some built up frustrations, and get some exercise! We have earned the nickname "Jensonovich's" on the court. When we got home, we let Yuki out, and she immediately went to her squeaky tennis ball. She loves the thing...now if we could just get her to use the racket.

Chasing the ball after Dan threw it.

Her ball tends to find its way under the couch, and she goes nuts trying to get to it. (notice all the scrath marks on the wood...not there before she was).

VICTORY!

2009 Calendar

My sister Kelee made me a 2008 calendar last year, it was really cute! This year I decided to make my own, she did come over to help with me it though! It took a lot longer than it looks like, but I think it turned out pretty cute, considering it's my first time taking on a project of this kind! These are some of my favorite months:

Where can a kid be a kid?

Chuck E Cheese's!!! Dan's parents were in Orem watching Jake wrestle at Mountain View High (btw, he won the match we watched, go jake!) and afterwards invited us to Chuck E Cheese. Cheyenne (Dan's 6 year old sister) had never been, and she was loving it...she even got her picture taken with Chucky and had to show it to me every time I looked her way :) I couldn't remember the last time I was there myself, but the characters that dance up on stage sure look different at 21! The pizza is delicious, and the games were fun. I have to brag: I beat dan in the b-ball shooting game the first game with 23 points, the next round he slaughtered my record with 28 points, but hey I won that first round! Dan tried to walk out with someone else's wife...thank goodness for those neon numbers they stamp on your hand to check for that sort of thing (joke).

Sunday grub and games

Sunday is a great day...a day off of work to spend relaxing with Dan...what could be any better. Especially when you throw a delicious meal I didn't have to cook in the mix! Dan and I spent this Sunday eating dinner with his grandparents, (thick juicy steak, baked potatoes, rolls, steamed veggies, and chocolate cake...jealous?) then we played a card game called "hand and foot", which is a rummy style card game that his grandparents taught us. It's really fun!

We had planned on skipping the season premier of 24...which is huge for us because we love 24! But Grandpa Jensen actually brought it up, and asked if we watched 24, so luckily we got to watch that as well!

As a side note...Dan and I got put into primary to teach the CTR six year olds...it will be quite an adventure. We have 11 kids in our class, and they are all so full of energy. For being such a large class they were pretty well behaved and very knowledgeable of the gospel. I am pretty sure I didn't know as much as they do when I was their age, and I am sure Dan and I will learn a lot from them!

Playing in the Snow

Yuki really loves the snow...me...not so much, and playing in the snow is not something I do very often anymore, but it was a lot of fun and Yuki was hilarious! I think she looks like a wolf running through it. She is so freaking fast, but I was actually able to outrun her in the snow because she was pretty much submersed in it!

Christmas Day Fun!

Dan and I had an amazing Christmas. It was so great to have a day off work, to relax, and spend time with family. We both have great families who make everything so much fun! We spent the morning at home to ourselves, then headed down to Payson to visit with both mine, and Dan's family. Dan is the best husband, and I am so grateful for him and all he does for me...our second Christmas was even better than our first, which I didn't think was possible! I am also grateful for Christ and his sacrifice for me. He gave his life for me, and I am so grateful that I know I can repent of my sins and be forgiven. Yuki also had a fun day with her new friend Ava! Ava is about half Yuki's size, but she was sure fiesty! Later that night, Dan and I went to see Valkarie with his family...it was okay. We hope you all had a fun, safe day also!

Christmas break??? What is that?

So...Usually the only complaints I have with the snow is that I hate driving in it! This year, however, I have a much bigger bone to pick with mother nature! Dan is finally done with the semester, and was looking forward to a little relaxation before he has to go back in January...but because we now manage a self storage facility we are in charge of plowing the grounds! When it snows like it has been, Dan is literally outside plowing for at least six hours....the facility is huge...pour guy...luckily the tractor he uses has a heater inside so he doesn't freeze. Yuki, on the other hand, LOVES the snow...we have to bribe her with treats just to get her to come back inside!

Bump, set, spike!

...OR if you are on my team you just do whatever you can to get the ball over the net! Ha ha jk, I play on a volleyball team with Dan's mom's work. It is so much fun because even though our team is not the best, we all know how to have fun and make each other laugh. On our team anything goes...no body part is out of the question when it comes to returning the ball! It's fun to have Dan be the one watching me play something this time (instead of me watching him play basketball, softball, tennis, etc)! Even though I am not the best player, I am glad it gives me an excuse to get some much needed exercise, and practice for co-ed volleyball!

Awesome Weekend!

We have had a very fun weekend! Saturday I decided it was time to chop my hair, and also colored it in the process. I was nervous because I have never had it short before but I love it! I am also excited because I found someone I trust to cut and color my hair! Dan got a nice cut too! I went to the new salon in Spanish Fork called "Prestige." I recommend it to everyone. We also finally found a Christmas tree and got that up and decorated... Later that night we got together with some friends for a game night... Friends, pizza, "Apples to Apples," and "Catch Phrase", what can get any better??? Thanks Courtney and Tyson for hosting! We finished up our great weekend by going down to Spanish Fork for the blessing of Casey's baby Ace. Ace looked so stinkin' cute in his little white vest.

The players....of course girls kicked butt when it came to "Catch Phrase"

Otanjyoubi, Omedito Gozaimasu

In other words...Happy Birthday Daniel! He is now 24! Yesterday we celebrated by taking the day off of work, which led to a long afternoon nap, then a yummy dinner at Asuka, and a movie with his incredible surround sound! He was spoiled a little bit this year...he got a really nice surround sound system, a couple shirts, and a laptop (also part of Christmas). I decided to make cupcakes this year...can you guess what they are supposed to be? Lol I brought one in to Dan and he thought it was a softball...it's supposed to be a tennis ball. I sure love him!

Setting up the surround sound!

Tennis ball or soft ball?

Thanksgiving and Black Friday

*Warning* NO Pictures

Our Thanksgiving was spent with my side of the family this year. Dinner was delicious, and I just know my green bean casserole was a hit (right Misty :) . I loved the chocolate mousse pie...I wish I had some now, actually. Afterwards we played games (I am all about games!) and took family pictures. It was fun to visit with everyone that we don't see very much!

Dan and I had been planning on getting us a laptop this year on BF cause they were so cheap everywhere, but because we missed the memo on camping out for two days at Best Buy (GEEZ people get a life!!!), so we didn't have any hope of getting one there. We decided to stake out Office Depot, and even left our house at 11:10 pm...we figured we would have more than enough time because they didn't even open until 6 am. BUT we were wrong! Actually, we got stuck in an accident, and were sitting, car completely turned off, for forty minutes!!! So by the time we had gotten to Office Depot the line was already too long. My clever husband, however, found a sweet laptop sale online that started at 6 am as well, so we went home, slept for a few hours then woke up right before six and made sure we got the laptop we wanted! Online shopping is the way to go! I also got Dan's birthday shopping and part of Christmas out of the way! The hard part for me is waiting to give them to him!

Jessie

My sister Jessie came over last Saturday to play. We went and saw Lakeview Terrace, then went to dinner at IHOP (she had never been, I couldn't believe it)! Then we came over to my house and played with Yuki and took some pictures because we don't see each other very much.

I try to keep the mood light and fun, most of the time, when she is around. But the truth is I worry so much about her, how she is really doing, if I am being there for her like I should, etc. Jessie is 17, and is kind of in a hard spot in life right now, everyone she has gotten to trust and love has abandoned her. She has a lot of issues, and most of the are not her fault. I don't think she is making her situation better by making some of the choices she does, but the underlying reasons/causes are not her fault! I just wish that I could make everything right...she is a beautiful young girl who has so much potential, but she doesn't see that. Do you ever wanna hurt someone, not for what they have done to you, but for what they have done to someone you care about? That is how I feel right now. Sorry, I don't mean to be so negative in this post, it is just something that I am constantly thinking about.

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb. What a stupid lamb, and what a sick, masochristic lion."

TWILIGHT!!!

I would not say I am a crazy FANATIC; however, I am a big fan...and last night ended up getting a last minute ticket to go see the midnight premiere from Daniel's mom. The coolest part of it was that others in our group had been there since 5 O'clock (DIEHARD FANS) and we showed up in at 10 and met up with them, and they seated us 15 mins later! We got perfect seats, right above the balcony. I LOVED the show. Before I had seen the movie, I HATED Edward, but I soon fell in love with him again! Most of the characters were similar to how I had pictured them, with the exception of Jacob...he was just so much hotter in my mind. I love how they introduced Jasper "the one that always looks like he is in pain" ha ha. I thought the movie followed the book pretty well, but unless you have read the book you will probablly just find the movie boring and full of bad actors.

R.I.P

Dan has started basketball. He plays Tuesday nights in Payson. His team's name is R.I.P . . . rest in peace. He plays with his bro in law, and coworkers of his bro in law. They are a fun team to watch. Dan is by far the best player on the team even though he is the shortest (biased). They were behind by about 25 points last night but they came back to tie the game, but ended up losing by two points! It was intense...especially when you throw Dan's highly competative, noisy, and slightly obnoxious wife in the picture! I couldn't get any good pictures of the action because of my crappy camera (Christmas cannot come fast enough!) but I did get one of Dan shooting and making his foul shots.

He shoots he scores!

Yuki (aka Super Dog)

Our puppy has learned a new trick, which is sure cute, but may not end up being a good thing...she hops the gate we put up to keep her out of the carpeted areas of the house (not 100% potty trained yet). I put her upstairs earlier because some customers came in the office; after they were gone I went upstairs to check on her and could not find her! Finally, she came trotting down the hall way and just stared at me like "that's right nothing can stop me now". Dan and I decided to catch her in action so we were on the other side of the gate bribing her with treats!

First attempt she almost did not make it!

Almost there...

After a few times, she decided she was done and just chilled for a minute.

Looks like we need a different gate!
