Our Weekend

Our weekend started off great.  After work we headed to Spanish Fork for dinner with my mom and siblings.  We drew names for Christmas presents this year, played Phase 10, and had fun visiting. My mom gave Dan and me some cozy fleece blankets, little did we know how much we would need those blankets soon enough!

Late Saturday night we were watching TV when we heard this loud squeaking noise coming from our heater.  Seriously, it was so loud and the noise was echoing out of every heating vent!  Dan turned off the heater to investigate, and it wouldn't turn back on!  He replaced the fuse, reset the breaker, and did every thing else he could think of, but had no luck getting it to work.  Because it was so late Saturday night we were out of luck until Monday.  It was perfect timing with it being the coldest night of winter thus far! I was freezing all night even with every blanket in our house piled on top of me!!!  When I woke up it was 50 degrees in our house, and then I realized our thermostat wasn't working either, so who knows how cold it really was!

On top of that, Dan has been sick for the past 2 1/2 weeks, and is still trying to get over a horrible cold.  He was feeling better last week for about 5 days then the cough and congestion came back.  We did some research online and think he might have acute bronchitis.

Sunday, because Dan was feeling crummy and it was too cold for me to even wanna get out of the covers, we bundled up in our blankets and sat in front of space heaters to keep warm all day!  We watched a lot of Netflix, and started a new series, "Hell on Wheels" by AMC.

My mom just won a weight watchers competition and lost 40 lbs! She looks great! PS-my brother is such a weirdo :)

It's now Monday.  We have a guy coming to fix the heater today.  Yahoo!  I can't wait to be able to feel my fingers and toes again.
